The short version: PDFyre does not collect your documents. Every PDF tool runs entirely in your browser, and your files are never uploaded to any server. We collect no personal data, and we do not sell anything.
1. Your files stay on your device
All processing — OCR, merge, split, compress, rotate, PDF to images and images to PDF — happens locally in your browser using your device's own processor. PDFyre has no server that receives, stores, or sees your documents. When you close the tab, your files and any temporary local data are gone.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not require an account, so we never collect a name or email to log in.
- We do not upload, store, or analyze your PDFs or images.
- We do not ask for payment information.
3. Advertising
PDFyre may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can learn more and opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
4. Cookies and consent
PDFyre itself does not set cookies. Cookies may be set by:
- Google AdSense — advertising cookies.
- Google Analytics — analytics cookies (page views, session duration, traffic sources, anonymised).
- Google Fonts — performance cookies.
Advertising and analytics cookies are only used after you give your consent via the cookie banner shown on the site. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site. For visitors in the European Economic Area and the UK, this site uses Google Consent Mode, which respects your consent choice before any advertising or analytics cookies load. Disabling cookies does not affect PDFyre's core functionality.
5. Google Analytics
PDFyre uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It processes anonymised usage data only — no personally identifiable information. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Children's privacy
PDFyre is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
